Ok everyboby, this summer had it's ups and downs. Below
are some of the greatest and worst Movies of the year read on to see who won the awards and who went home crying.
The Winners
As you all know this summer
had it's share of winners and losers. These are some of the winners. This summer started out with a flick form Disney called
Finding Nemo. Finding Nemo is now the 10th top grossing movie of all time. The fish movie also surpassed The
Matrix Reloaded to be the summer top grossing film in America. Next was all about the mutants. X2: X-Men United
stormed past the original by making 215 million dollars. Universal came around next with the hit horse film Seabiscuit.
This 86 million dollar budgeted film was all about the wall-crawler. After all Tobey is a hottie. Everybody Neo's back
and in a big way. The Matrix Reloaded made a whopping 719 million dollars world wide. On to the laughs. Jim Carrey
came out again with the hit comedy about when God takes a little vacation. This summer hit called Bruce Almighty, by
Universal also stared Jennifer Aniston. Yet another summer smash is The Italian Job. This mini cooper movie
grossed alittle over 100 million. Up, down and all a round with love right. Well Down With Love turned out to
be all around a good movie. It had just the right amount of laughs and carma. The hit earned a little over 40 million. The
classic love story of the summer wasn't so classic. Alex&Emma typed into are hearts for about 35 million.
The tale of a typiest and a writer destiny writen out in the classic novel. The summer closer was the teenage love story
called How to Deal. This season closer by New Line had it all Trent Ford and an award winning story. It says Take
a Leap of Faith and believe me for trent I think we all would.
When we all think about the
best movies of the year we think about the stories that most relate to our own lives, and this summer was the summer of Love
and sometimes thats exactly what we all need.
The Losers
Well now this
is the hard part. Some movies of the summer didn't shall I say make the grade. Alright now everything is in 3-D.
Well at least Spy Kids3 is. This third part of the trilogy didn't catch our eyes. The film only
made 22 million in it's 4 week run. Well the producers of Wrong Turn definately took one. This summer thriller
was the least grossing Fox film in the last three years. I give major props to anyone who actually remebers this film.
Next came the rats. As in Rugrats Go Wild. We needed another Rugrats movie.....? The film also made
a dismal 15 million. I can't believe people would actually submit there children to this movie. Moving on....to
a big green thing. Ok we got mechandise we got toys we ain't got a top selling movie. The Hulk was
played up to be the next Wall-crawler. Well...it didn't happen. The film only made a third of it's projected profits.
Alright I beg of all the movie makers out there no more movies titled
The So and So's Movie. This summer some actually sat though The Lizzie Maguire Movie. Please not a
sequel the result will be large cases of insanity. This teen-bopper film made a little over 40 million. Wow
cough cough. Alright I think that Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry met Loyd is a bit much. I
think the people who went to see it thought that Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels were actually in it. Ok everybody
the summers altimate loser was Gigli. All jokes can be inserted here.
Ok I am sorry to be ragging on these
films, but we've never had a summer full of hits and this summer was no different. We had good ones and bad
ones and these just happen to not be well recieved I guess. With one exception Gigli should have never been made,
some love just isn't made for the movies.

but hey some were toss-ups. Go on look around a while. Who says you have to go back to reality right now?
